Mystery Creek Events Centre in Hamilton hosts the NZ Boat, Fish & Dive Expo on 29 and 30 August, and with the show now just under two weeks out, exhibitor stands are confirming exactly what’s going to be there. It’s a two-day marine show run on the same grounds as the National Agricultural Fieldays, mixing more than 40 boat brands with fishing tackle, dive gear, and kayaks.
A new 2027 4.5m tiller steer from Matamata’s Allenco Marine headlines the aluminium side, built factory-direct and sitting on a custom heavy-duty trailer, with a show special running for anyone who asks. Innovision Boats has a second custom build going, an IV707 Explorer finished for a Melbourne buyer, its new Game Chaser transom, Silent Chine hull and pilot-house windows all getting their only New Zealand showing before the boat crosses the Tasman in September. Rayglass rounds out the new-boat side of the floor with its Legend 2400 and 2700 on display.
The show’s biggest stand deal looks to be at MasterTech Marine out of Tauranga, where a Buccaneer 615 hardtop, running a Suzuki 200hp Stealth Fourstroke and Garmin electronics, is going out the door at $134,995, a discount past $15,000. Auckland Marine Centre makes its first appearance at the Expo this year, and Orakei Marine has a Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795 booked in alongside it. Down from Invercargill, Image Boats brings Gratitude, an 8.5 metre Fishmaster, to site 157.
Doug from Stabi-X will be fielding amphibious boating questions next to the brand’s 240UCC, and Bay Marine Electronics has show-only Garmin pricing running for both days of the show. Every adult who buys a ticket at the gate is automatically in the running for a DAIWA New Zealand fishing gear package worth north of $8,000.
Three years on from its 2024 relaunch, the spread of first-time exhibitors, from Auckland Marine Centre down to niche gear brands like Ultimate Rod Racks NZ and detailing specialist Schmick Mick, suggests the show has outgrown its original billing as a regional fill-in for the Waikato.
