Description

Launched in 1997 and lovingly maintained by the same owners since 2012, this Hunter 340 is a standout coastal cruiser that punches well above her waterline length. Designed and built by Hunter Marine in Alachua, Florida, she features solid GRP construction and a clever fractional two-spreader rig without backstays, complete with Furlex roller furling headsail, Leisure furling main, and adjustable lower mast torsion braces. The generous cockpit offers wrap-around seating and a full-height dodger for all-weather comfort. Below deck, the innovative layout delivers a large owner's master cabin aft to port with a queen-size berth, a well-appointed galley with double sink, microwave, and twin-burner hob, plus a spacious head with manual toilet and holding tank. The roomy dinette seats eight and provides additional sleeping berths, while a second double cabin occupies the forepeak. Power comes from a Yanmar 3GM30F with 1,743 hours and a feathering three-blade prop. Electronics include a Lowrance 9" chartplotter, Raytheon Autohelm with wind direction, speed and depth gauges, and Navman VHF. Two 50W solar panels with individual MPPT controllers and a 25A smart charger ensure energy independence. Antifouled late 2023 and regularly serviced - ready to sail.
