This 1991 Pelin Challenger represents the finest example of a proven New Zealand-built offshore sportsfisher on the market today. Constructed by the respected Dixon Bros of Auckland in GRP, this 12.5m vessel has undergone a comprehensive top-to-bottom refit in 2024/2025 that effectively delivers a classic hull with modern reliability at its core. The headline upgrade is a brand-new 2025 Cummins 380hp 6.7L QSB common rail shaft-drive engine with just 113 hours - delivering a smooth cruise of 15-16 knots at an efficient 34 litres per hour. The refit extended to a full rewire, new charging systems, pumps, plumbing and electronics throughout. Accommodation is impressive across two cabins - a large V-berth forward and a port-side guest cabin with twin singles - complemented by a lock-up shower and toilet.
