Ariel is a 7-metre Roger Hill-designed monohull day cruiser. fully-trailerable vessel custom built in 2007 at Custom Boatbuilders for its original owner. Featuring teak decking, a dinette at the bow and seating on board for up to 12 guests ideal for boating areas like Moreton Bay, Sydney Harbour or Port Phillip, as well as being competent offshore.
Ariel has a fibreglass hull and lightweight, sturdy composite construction, Ariel was penned by the esteemed New Zealand designer, Roger Hill. The owner on Queenslands Gold Coast was seeking an open boat for exploring the waterways and islands between the GC and Brisbane with the ability to tow it further afield as desired.
Ariel boasts retro style, flared forward sections with tumble home at the transom. The centre console has space inside for a portable, chemical toilet, while a composite bimini over the console and helm seat provides protection from the sun and wet weather.
Ariels shallow draft of just 33cm means she can moor close to the beach and access places other vessels cant. Powered by a 150hp Yamaha outboard engine and comes with a Spitfire aluminium trailer.
