STEAM BOAT - Classic replica.
SV Florence is a 19' (5.8m) steam launch, in the style of classic steam launches from a bygone era. BEAM = 1.7m and DRAFT = 0.6m. She was imported from USA by the previous owner, with the trailer being built in NZ. The hull is fibreglass enhanced with American Oak deck and trim. She is powered by a twin cylinder, compound steam engine. Developing 5HP at 600 RPM at 125 psi. She has a Benson Mountain boiler, fired by a diesel burner, with electric ignition. The steam whistle has just the best sound and volume. She has slip-eccentric reversing gear. The steering is hydraulic with an oil-filled stern tube.
This vessel comes with a heavily and well-built tandem axle trailer, with sliding drawbar for ease of launching and retrieval. Florence comfortably seats 4+ adults. The squabs have been newly recovered and a matching vessel cover protects her when not in use and when being towed. There is plenty of under-seat storage for lifejackets, tools etc.
Florence is a delightful vessel for puttering around on sea, lakes and inland waterways.

The trailer does not have brakes. Boat and trailer together weigh approx. 1600kg.
Range: The vessel is economical on diesel and will go for several hours before needing to top up the diesel. There is plenty of room onboard for a portable tank.
Speed: The vessel cruises at about 5 - 6 knots
